We could not have missed the Health Market Forum, one of the most important industry events in Poland. It is here that the key and most up-to-date issues concerning the Polish healthcare system are discussed.

As a local manufacturer of medicines, Gedeon Richter has always taken part in discussions on Poland’s drug security. The discussion panel entitled “Are the Chinese holding us tightly, or how to talk about drug security” featured Katarzyna Piotrowska-Radziewicz, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Policy and Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health; Maciej Miłkowski, Chief Specialist and Coordinator for Financial Analytics at the Military Medical Institute – National Research Institute in Warsaw, and representatives of pharmaceutical manufacturers’ associations INFARMA and PZPPF, as well as companies producing medicines in Poland. Gedeon Richter Poland was represented by Aneta Grzegorzewska, Director of Corporate Affairs and External Relations.

The panel analysed the draft of the government’s National Development Strategy until 2035, which, among other things, includes actions in the area of industrial development and critical infrastructure. The production of APIs and medicines from the National List of Critical Medicines was discussed as strategic for Poland’s security. At Gedeon Richter, we focus on investing in the development and the implementation of innovation in manufacturing in Poland; therefore, we actively participate in system-level discussions on this topic.
