CSR
At Gedeon Richter, we consistently implement and develop initiatives in the area of corporate social responsibility that support sustainable development and help build lasting relationships. We are fully aware of the impact our operations have on our surroundings and remain attentive to the needs of the communities in which we operate. For this reason, our activities always take social interests, environmental considerations and relationships with various stakeholder groups into account; we place particular emphasis on our employees.
Our responsibility extends beyond developing and manufacturing high-quality medicines and ensuring broad access to our therapies. We support and create health, educational and environmental initiatives, and provide financial assistance to healthcare organisations. Gedeon Richter employees also actively engage in volunteer activities that benefit local communities.
Our CSR strategy is guided by the principles of ISO 26000, which shape our approach across the following areas:
- consumer issues,
- labour practices,
- community involvement and local development,
- organisational governance,
- human rights,
- the environment,
- fair operating practices.
All our initiatives are carried out in line with the concept of corporate social responsibility. In our day-to-day work, we are guided by company values developed by our employees, including teamwork, professionalism, people, development, partnership and a strong business focus.
The objective of our CSR strategy is sustainable and stable growth that respects our social and environmental surroundings.

Caring for women’s health
Gedeon Richter is actively involved in a wide range of educational activities for partners and patients, aimed at raising awareness of lifestyle-related diseases.
Women’s health lies at the heart of our therapeutic focus. For several years, we have been running the educational campaign “In Women’s Interest”, which promotes preventive screening and seeks to reduce inequalities in access to gynaecological care. As part of the campaign, our mobile clinic visits towns and cities across Poland each year, offering women free gynaecological examinations and consultations with specialists.
For many years, we have also provided financial support to projects that genuinely improve quality of life and patient comfort in the area of women’s health. This includes initiatives related in particular to gynaecology and endocrinology, as well as diseases of the cardiovascular and central nervous systems.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in developed countries, including Poland. For this reason, our cardiology portfolio includes therapies for the treatment of metabolic conditions, and selected healthcare facilities offer free lipid tests for patients. Our educational activities also include the operation of information and awareness platforms such as the Zdrowa Ona portal, Poradnik Zdrowia and an educational service dedicated to schizophrenia.

Employee development and engagement
We believe that development is a continuous process that begins with curiosity and leads to meaningful change, both professionally and personally. That is why we strive to create an environment in which everyone can discover their potential and build a career path aligned with their ambitions.
We place great value on the active sharing of knowledge, experience and ideas among our employees, as well as on open discussion of challenges encountered in day-to-day work. Supporting teamwork and fostering communication and trust are central to building a culture of engagement at Gedeon Richter. We want every employee to find space for self-fulfilment and to develop the full potential of their talents.
We offer a broad range of initiatives that support personal and professional development. Our training framework ensures that all development initiatives are tailored to individual needs while also aligning with the company’s business objectives.
We deliver development programmes focused on both soft skills, such as leadership, collaboration and communication, and functional skills that enhance specialist knowledge. Employees can take part in management development initiatives, receive co-funding for postgraduate studies and professional courses, and participate in language training.
At Gedeon Richter, we care not only about professional growth but also about employee wellbeing, which is why our initiatives also include programmes that promote physical activity and mindfulness. Through our internal “Healthy Richter” initiative, we promote a healthy lifestyle by offering employees new wellbeing inspiration and opportunities for activity each month, helping to improve overall wellbeing and support a healthy work–life balance.
