Gedeon Richter Polska premiered its latest report, “The Anatomy of Relationships: Face-to-Face Connections”, on 20 May. This marks the third edition of our social research programme, following “The Sexual Map of Polish Women” and “Understanding Masculinity”, all of which place people and their emotions in a central position. This time, we focused on how Poles build relationships: how they communicate, what matters most to them in partnerships and how closeness influences their wellbeing.
Why is this topic so important to us? Because health is not only about physical condition but also about emotional balance, which is strongly shaped by the quality of interpersonal relationships. Our mission to care for health calls for a broader perspective that goes beyond traditional therapies, which is why we engage in initiatives that also support mental wellbeing and aim to help people in Poland build fulfilling, happy relationships that provide a sense of security and satisfaction. In an era of digitalisation and evolving social norms, the quality of relationships has become more relevant than ever.
The strong interest in the press briefing for the launch of the report clearly reflects this. We welcomed more than fifty journalists from Poland’s leading media outlets, including representatives of Vogue, Zwierciadło, Twój Styl, Newsweek, PAP, Fakt, Pani and Super Express.
The report offers a substantial body of insights into relationships, based on a robust study of a representative sample of the Polish population. Alongside engaging charts and data tables, it features expert commentary that helps to place the findings in a broader social and emotional context.
