Calendar theme for 2025: “The Elements of Women

We are pleased to present the 14th edition of the Gedeon Richter Polska Art Calendar. Traditionally, the calendar has been inspired by women; this year, we focused on female archetypes embodying the elements.

Gedeon Richter is a global pharmaceutical company with more than 120 years of heritage, and has been present in Poland for over thirty years. A particular focus of our work is women’s health, with therapies dedicated to women at different stages of life. Yet, supporting women’s health goes far beyond developing medicines; we also celebrate and support womanhood through distinctive educational and awareness initiatives created with women in mind.

Fourteen years ago, the company’s 110th anniversary inspired a unique initiative: the creation of the Gedeon Richter Polska Art Calendar. The project’s Artistic Director is the acclaimed graphic designer Andrzej Pągowski, who, together with guest illustrators and art-school graduates, has created a remarkable collection of works. The artists’ task was to produce twelve posters, each illustrating a month of the year. Since then, the Art Calendar has returned every year with a new edition that continues to captivate audiences.

The Art Calendar is a unique publication in its own right. From the very beginning, its mission has been to draw attention to women and their fundamental role in the modern world. As a leader and expert in women’s health, we feel a responsibility to raise awareness around women’s wellbeing and preventive health measures.
The calendar reaches a carefully selected audience, including opinion leaders from medicine and pharmacy, and decision-makers. Our aim is to highlight the importance of supporting women’s health and seeking solutions that make everyday life easier. Art is a powerful carrier of educational messages, especially when it takes a practical, everyday form – just like our calendar. It not only inspires but also combines education and beauty in a meaningful, accessible way, returning focus to what truly matters: women’s health and everyday support.

Twelve months, four elements, three artists and their visions of women embodying each element, with their own distinctive qualities and symbolism.

Water Woman is emotional, intuitive and empathetic. She adapts easily to her surroundings and to others. Her sensuality and creativity often make her an artistic soul. With a highly developed sense of empathy, she understands other people’s emotions deeply, and she can inspire and support them through difficult moments.

Fire Woman is passionate, energetic and courageous. She is driven by enthusiasm and a zest for action. She is willing to take risks and pursue her dreams, and her determination helps her achieve the goals she sets.

Air Woman is communicative and creative. She often analyses the world around her in depth. Open-minded and able to view situations from different perspectives, she forms connections with ease and is a gifted conversationalist.

Earth Woman is grounded, practical and sensual. She is someone you can rely on. Pragmatic and stable, she values safety and tradition, and is often closely connected to nature. She offers reassurance and support.
Each of these archetypes carries its own strengths, and every woman may combine qualities of more than one element. This richness of personality is what makes each of us truly unique.
