In Women’s Interest

Initiatives Reports on sexuality and relationships of the Poles Health Grant Art Calendar In Women’s Interest

The aim of the In Women’s Interest campaign is to encourage all women in Poland to attend regular gynaecological check-ups and to raise awareness of their right to equal access to basic healthcare services, including gynaecological and obstetric care, regardless of age, financial situation or place of residence. As a company committed to supporting women and their health, we feel a strong responsibility to take meaningful action to help remove the barriers that still prevent many women from accessing gynaecological care.

Each year, the campaign focuses on a different theme, addressing a specific challenge faced by women. Discover the topics we have explored across individual editions.

2023 – 5th Edition – Theme: “We See You. We Examine”

The 5th edition focused on women aged 59+, who, for various reasons, do not avail of gynaecological care. This is particularly concerning, as early detection significantly increases the chances of effective treatment. The slogan “We See You. We Examine” was intended to emphasise that the health of all women matters – and that we want to reach every one of them.

Our research* showed that nearly one in three women over the age of 59, including women with disabilities, had not visited a gynaecologist for at least two years, while around 14% could not recall when their last visit took place. In extreme cases, women had avoided gynaecological care for several decades, even up to fifty years. There is, therefore, still much to be done in the area of preventive gynaecological healthcare. As part of this edition, we aimed to reach and examine women aged 59+. Experts point to a significant unmet need for accessible gynaecological examinations. While many women wish to be examined, barriers such as long waiting times, lack of infrastructure, household responsibilities, and their own or family members’ health issues often prevent regular visits. When given the opportunity, however, women are eager to take advantage of preventive examinations.

The initiative was met with strong interest and a positive response from patients, NGOs and local decision-makers. Our mobile clinic visited eight cities across three regions, offering comprehensive examinations, including physical assessments, liquid-based cytology, ultrasounds and HPV testing. The campaign once again proved successful – 300 women were reached, potentially influencing their future approach to preventive care.
